About The Position

Dark Wolf Solutions seeks a highly experienced and energetic Cyber Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Cyber Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development and delivery of PARCS and UEWR assessment of systems and networks within the environments to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This position will be a hybrid opportunity with on site support as required by the customer at Peterson SFB Colorado Springs, CO. Candidates must be located physically in the Colorado Springs, CO area or surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelors and nine plus (9+) years’ experience; Masters and seven plus (7+) years’ experience; PhD or JD and four plus (4+) years’ experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Experience (Nessus / Tenable Security Center).
  • US Citizenship and have Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense RMF processes
  • Experience evaluating information security compliance against STIGs
  • Radar signals experience. (Ie hacking drones/satellites)
  • Experience with modeling (threat or MBSE)
  • Work with RMF and Requirements.
  • B.A. or B.S. Information Security or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Build security architectures; integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cybersecurity architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis of cybersecurity features and relate existing system to future needs and trends; provide engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues.
  • Perform assessments of RMF artifacts and identify where artifacts deviate from RMF control requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Perform analyses to validate established cybersecurity controls and requirements and recommend appropriate cybersecurity safeguards.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining assessment and authorization of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, control certification test, compliance documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
