About The Position

This role is for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a dynamic security engineering team, working to capture, define, architect, develop, integrate, and sell-off products to government customers. Candidates generally need 1+ years of experience, an active Top Secret security clearance, and recent SCI access (U.S. citizenship required). The position involves supporting tasks under the direction of the cyber engineering lead.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Active Top Secret security clearance and recent SCI access (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Technical curiosity to learn new skills and are ready to help across the team
  • Team Player
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and/or of patching
  • Understanding of Risk Management Framework, (RMF) NIST SP 800-53
  • Experience with generating Bodies of Evidence (Sec. Test Plans, checklists, STIG reports)
  • Experience with virtual machine hardening and STIG compliance
  • Experience with scanning & vulnerability report generation
  • Security+

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Ansible
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance (with investigation within 5 years)
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or other networking products
  • Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principals and process
  • Advanced Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST SP 800-53
  • Understanding of Windows Server Operating Systems (i.e., 2008 R2/2012/2016/2018/2022)
  • Knowledge of Linux Administration RedHat 7.X, 8.X, 9.X)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services and providers
  • Understanding of cloud technologies Docker/Rancher, Kubernetes, API’s, Jenkins, GitHub
  • Understanding of Jira, Confluence, and Gitlab

Responsibilities

  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with planning, design, development, validation and verification of Cyber solutions across the lifecycle
  • Serve as cyber representative to non-cyber teams supporting requirements understanding, collaborative engagement, and solution identification and implementation
  • Assist with development of Cyber Plans and Procedures
