Job Description: We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer, who will play a critical role in safeguarding systems, networks, and data by performing comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments. This role will be on-site in San Diego, CA and requires an active secret clearance. International travel may also be required.

Requirements

  • Experience in cybersecurity
  • Experience updating and maintaining Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, including Security Controls and compliance (ex: OpenSCAP, ACAS, SCC)
  • Security+ Certification
  • US Citizenship required, dual citizens not eligible
  • Secret clearance is required for this role with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Must have an active US passport and able to travel internationally

Nice To Haves

  • CISSP or CISA Certifications
  • Linux+ or RHSA Certifications
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience with knowledge of SELinux (MAC and DAC security mechanisms)
  • Previous networking experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vulnerability management and security assessments to safeguard systems, networks, and data.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across software, hardware, and networking components.
  • Conduct system security testing during lab-based and site-based assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize remediation efforts and ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Maintain and update RMF documentation, including Security Controls artifacts, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
