This is a hybrid role in Austin, Texas US. Position Summary A Cloud Security Engineer Manager is responsible of a team of cloud security engineers. They help create and maintain security measures for CCoE activities in the cloud, such as cloud infrastructure or cloud networks. Cloud Security Engineer Managers design, test, and plan the processes and procedures that keep business information, network, and other assets safe and secure, while also driving technical excellence and team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with a minimum of 8-12+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2-4 years experience working in a cloud based organization.
  • 3 years experiences working on security for infrastructure cloud
  • 2 years experience with Scrum

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 2-4 years’ of technical experience working in programs such as, Python, Bash, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Perl and Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a team of cloud security engineers.
  • Managing and maintaining security tools and technologies in the cloud.
  • Automating security tasks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant security regulations and standards.
  • Staying informed about the latest cloud security threats and industry trends.
  • Organize workshops and discussions with Cloud Security Engineers on advanced technical subjects.
  • Support Product Owner on technical discussions to help prioritize epics and organize roadmap.
  • Ensure that engineering best practices are followed and implemented by Cloud Security Engineers.
  • Provide support to Cloud Security Engineers on work estimation and planning.
  • Monitor new security features to support and bring evolution to CCoE security framework.
  • Develop, evaluate, design, and implement security-focused tools and services.
  • Support the company-defined cloud strategy.
  • Evangelize and advocate cloud security practices.
  • Drive engineering teams across all security practices.
  • Ensure continuous Thales DIS Cloud improvements.
  • Identify, raise, and mitigate security weaknesses on Thales DIS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide Cloud Security Engineers to develop their technical skills and expertise.
