About The Position

Oneida Technology Services (OTS) Group has an immediate opening for a Cybersecurity Engineer - Journeyman in Wichita County, TX at the Sheppard AFB. Key Responsibilities: Understands and implements cybersecurity requirements aligned with overall system and enterprise architecture. Designs, develops, and tests standardized Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC) across BIM environments. Provides Tier 3 engineering services in support of large, complex systems. Conducts network protection needs assessments, requirements elicitation, and analysis in support of secure solution design. Provides expertise in security architecture, threat assessment, communication security, networking, security technologies, hardware/software development, test & evaluation, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and supply chain risk. Supports analyses of alternatives and participates in requirements, engineering, and risk trade-off analyses to achieve cost-effective and secure architectural designs that support mission/business objectives. Performs security risk management activities, producing associated documentation and advising engineering teams and stakeholders on security impacts, threats, and vulnerabilities. Supports creation and maintenance of RMF-related artifacts including diagrams, hardware/software inventories, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services lists, and POA&Ms. Participates in design and implementation of secure networks, systems, and application architectures. Contributes to system testing activities, including system pre-tests, acceptance tests, and validation of performance and security criteria. Collaborates with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure protections are correctly implemented and compliant with DoD and USG standards. Applies knowledge across multiple complex work assignments and mentors others as needed.

Requirements

  • Technical BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on large, complex programs/systems;
  • OR
  • High school diploma or associate degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on large, complex programs/systems.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience working with DoD or U.S. Government programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess cybersecurity impacts on mission/business operations.
  • DoDI 8140.03 IAM or IAT Level II or above (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, etc.).
  • Clearance: Secret
