About The Position

The Cybersecurity Engineer position at Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) involves supporting a multi-national capability aimed at enhancing information sharing between allied nations. Requirements

  • 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 0 years relevant experience with a Master's; or High School Diploma and 6 years relevant experience
  • Applicable common Cybersecurity certification(s) such as CISSP or Security+
  • Experience in securing information systems and network infrastructures
  • In-depth technical knowledge of methods for securing information sources
  • Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizen

  • Experience working with ESS (Trellix) and ACAS
  • Experience working in or for the military
  • Expertise in Multi-national Combatant Command-level military exercises
  • Experience or interest in materials and defense systems
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and methods

Responsibilities

  • Experience with ESS (Trellix) and ACAS scanning for vulnerability assessments and RMF decisions
  • Mitigate and remediate vulnerabilities to ensure information system security
  • Identify network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators
  • Investigate computer fraud or other electronic crimes, recover deleted and corrupted data
  • Define procedures relevant to securing technology, collaborating with team members
  • Assist project manager in developing project plans and functional requirements for secured IT infrastructures
