About The Position

The Cybersecurity Coordinator provides the project coordination and administrative support necessary for the growth of the area to the partners in the Privacy & Cybersecurity practice and delivers high-quality client service. This role offers exposure to privacy and cybersecurity work supporting global companies, including in technology, health, and life sciences. The Cybersecurity Coordinator works under direct supervision and relies on instruction and pre-existing guidelines to perform the essential functions of the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts non-attorney support work, including market analysis, tracking regulatory developments, and drafting client updates for attorney review
  • Project managing attorney and non-attorney tasks, ensuring that client goals and deadlines are met
  • Assists with management of attorney templates/fixed fee documents
  • Track cross-selling opportunities with other McDermott partners
  • Coordinates high-volume privacy and security contract review workflows, including tracking and managing weekly contacts, managing status logs/dashboards, and leveraging technology tools (including AI-enabled solutions) to support efficiency, scalability, and client service
  • Supports privacy and cybersecurity matters, including risk assessments and related compliance activities, works as a working timekeeper in accordance with client and matter guidelines
  • Maintains client-by-client list of business development, pitching, and new work goals
  • Coordinates client outreach, communications, and reminders, including managing notifications for top clients (e.g., “case dinger” notifications, as applicable)
  • Drafts, edits, and proofreads written and oral communications
  • Inputs, reviews, edits, and updates attorney time entries in accordance with Firm and client guidelines
  • Proactively manages attorney Outlook inbox and calendar, including reminders for responses and deadlines
  • Process, and proactively manage monthly client billings, including expense reports and invoices, and liaise with billing departments to support accuracy and timeliness
  • Manages electronic and physical files in accordance with Firm records retention policies
  • Coordinates meeting logistics, including scheduling and arranging videoconferences and preparing digital and print presentation materials
  • Facilitates the client intake process, including gathering required information, generating client conflict inquiries, and coordinating the opening of new matters and preparation of engagement letters in accordance with Firm process and in collaboration with the appropriate internal teams
  • Support Cybersecurity and Privacy partners across a range of administrative, practice management and client-service functions
