About The Position

The Cybersecurity Consultant position at Strivector Corp involves conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for web applications, APIs, and cloud-hosted platforms. This role is essential for ensuring the security and resilience of internet-facing systems that handle sensitive data. The consultant will assess vulnerabilities, perform penetration tests, and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks, all while adhering to industry standards such as NIST and OWASP.

Requirements

• Proven track record of conducting penetration testing on websites, applications, and APIs.
• Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and associated security challenges.
• Familiarity with secure development lifecycles (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or CEH.
• Minimum of 5 years of Penetration Testing and Cyber Exercises experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing for web applications, APIs, and cloud-hosted platforms.
• Provide penetration testing and cyber exercise services.
• Assess vulnerabilities and perform penetration tests on a minimum of two and up to ten websites and applications.
• Perform vulnerability assessments for websites and applications in development before their go-live dates.
• Develop and execute cyber exercises to test the organization’s security posture and incident response capabilities.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on findings to mitigate identified risks.
• Deliver assessments and security guidance in alignment with industry standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and OWASP methodologies.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and executive summaries outlining vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address identified security gaps effectively.
