We are seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to help design and implement secure solutions across Carrier’s global technology environment. This role works closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure security is integrated into the design and deployment of systems and services. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation and a practical approach to cybersecurity architecture.

  • Design secure architectures for enterprise and operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Contribute to the development of security reference architectures and design patterns.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and threat modeling sessions.
  • Provide guidance on secure design principles for cloud, network, application, and data systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure implementation of solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their security implications.
  • Support the development of security standards and best practices.
  • Promote secure-by-design principles across engineering and development teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, OR Highschool diploma / GED with 4+ years of military cybersecurity training and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or software development.
  • 3+ years experience with secure SDLC, DevSecOps, or Zero Trust principles.
  • Experience in both Information Technology and Operational Technology security environments.
  • Familiarity with architectural modeling tools and documentation practices.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale security architecture projects.
  • Solid understanding of security domains such as cloud, network, application, and identity.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
