This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. As a Cybersecurity Architect, you'll be at the forefront of this mission, wielding your expertise to safeguard our most vital assets.

  • Design, implement, and meticulously maintain the robust cybersecurity infrastructure that powers our critical operations.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our IT and security teams, proactively identifying potential risks and engineering innovative, bulletproof mitigation strategies.
  • Stay relentlessly ahead of the curve, mastering the latest cybersecurity trends and emerging technologies to ensure HII's security posture remains impenetrable and industry-leading.
  • Translate complex security requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure solutions that stand the test of time and evolving threats.
  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating system.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to assess security configuration during system integration.
  • Knowledgeable in networking.
  • Experience with Bash, Python, and Perl scripts.
  • Experience with vulnerability scan application such as SCAP, Nessus, Anchore, SonarQube, and Fortify.
  • Experience with assessing and documenting DISA STIGs.
  • Proficient in implementing DISA STIG configurations.
  • Capable of translating technical vulnerabilities into clear and actionable actions.
  • Familiar with NIST 800-53 and 171.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance.
  • Software development experience with Python, Java, and C++.
  • Familiar with docker containers.
  • Familiar with eMASS and RMF.
  • Experience in working agile environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in ATO process.
  • DoD 8570 baseline certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
  • An active US level Secret clearance.
