The Department of Privacy and Cybersecurity in the College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for one tenure-line faculty position in Cybersecurity and Privacy located in State College, Pennsylvania. The appointment is at the assistant or associate professor rank and begin in July of 2026 at the University Park campus. We seek scholars with expertise in areas such as but not limited to the intersection of AI with security and/or privacy; organizational and/or human factors in security and privacy; cybercrime, cyberfraud, and/or digital forensics; the systems aspect; or other emerging topics such as cryptography or quantum computing. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in residential, online, and/or hybrid modes; conduct cutting-edge interdisciplinary research; supervise and mentor graduate students; actively pursue external funding to support research activities; engage in service activities at the college and university levels; and collaborate with faculty across the university and industry partners.
