About The Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst is a member of the Cybersecurity Team as part of Marist Information Technology. The Analyst is responsible for detecting and mitigating cybersecurity threats across the Marist network and systems from internal and external sources. This position will work closely with IT Operational staff in other IT areas to continually improve the security posture of the Marist network and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cyber and organizational policies and standards in support of legal and regulatory compliance needs as well as general cyber and organizational information security practices
  • Administer SIEM platform and review systems logs for security issues and patterns
  • Enhance the vulnerability management program to improve the security posture of Marist systems
  • Improve internal auditing program; Vulnerability management, system hardening baselines, penetration test, phishing & social engineering tests and attacks
  • Manage and grow cybersecurity tools and platforms to streamline incident identification and reduce response time to resolution
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents and provide digital forensics and system analysis
  • Remain current on cybersecurity best practices, trends, and technological advancements
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Tuition Benefits: Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26. University pays 100% tuition only. Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution. Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the University.
