About The Position

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst onsite in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience in technical implementation of vendor patches that lessen the exposure to cybersecurity risk. They will conduct cybersecurity and risk assessments on Platform Information Technology (PIT) and PIT control systems (Industrial Control Systems) to identify and mitigate technical and non-technical vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • An Interim DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
  • Eight (8) years of practical C4ISR-type experience. Examples may include systems and/or equipment support, test and evaluation, integration, or analysis. Within the 8-year minimum experience the IT Technician will also have the following experience that may be achieved simultaneously: Three out of the following five: System Requirements, Operational Requirements, Data Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training.
  • One (1) years of experience in software or enterprise information technology, to include: Patching Microsoft Operating Systems (servers and workstations) Working with workstation and Active Directory Domain environments
  • DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level 2 Certification (Security + CE) or IAT Level 3 Certification (CASP or CISSP) required
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Security, Data Science, Physics, Math, or a Computer Science-related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RedHat Linux is preferred, not required
  • Experience with NIWC LANT is highly preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Collaborate with engineers to remediate existing vulnerabilities or develop mitigations to minimize risks.
  • Assess systems with ACAS to discover weaknesses in the system, then applying and evaluating security patches for COTS software vendors.
  • Verify that the application of a patch remediates the IAVA and CVE findings based on post scan analysis.
  • Create patch requirements, instruction and other documentation so that the patch is provided to the system owners and users.
  • Security Compliance Evaluation: Conduct security compliance evaluation activities based on the requirements of the RMF ATO.
  • Vulnerability Scanning: Familiarity with network mapping, vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., ACAS, Nessus), and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs).
