Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues, investigating security breaches, and other cybersecurity incidents. The Cybersecurity Analyst will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of MTSI's information via risk assessments, audits, controls testing, policy and procedure development, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will support various MTSI initiatives and work on a diverse set of security-related tools and applications.

  • Prepare MTSI teams for internal audits, external assessments, and regulatory exams by ensuring compliance with industry standards, frameworks, and policies such as NIST CSF, DFARS, CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and NIST SP 800-172
  • Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse incidents, ensuring optimal differentiation between threats and benign activity
  • Use cyber defense tools for continual monitoring and analysis of systems to identify malicious activity
  • Document and escalate incidents (including event history, status, and potential impact) for further action that may affect the environment's ongoing operations
  • Perform information security risk assessments and evaluate both manual and automated business processes and applications in compliance with the information security program
  • Create, analyze, and develop risk assessment/audit results along with remediation plans derived from audits and risk assessments
  • Automate the lifecycle of governance documents, including version control, approval workflows, and audit trails
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working in an Information Assurance (IA)-related field
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or discipline
  • Possession of one or more industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, SSCP)
  • Additional certifications such as CCSP, AZ-500, SC-300, or other cloud-based certifications preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically in core Azure security technologies (e.g., Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Conditional Access, Sentinel, Azure Policy, NSGs)
