Cybersecurity Analyst

Founders Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT team at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. This position is crucial in ensuring the effective integration of Information Technology systems and services with our Information Security Program and Policy. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in protecting the organization from cyberattacks by researching upcoming IT trends, monitoring suspicious activities, reporting security breaches, and educating employees on cybersecurity best practices. This role requires a proactive approach to cybersecurity, including the monitoring of cybersecurity software, investigating alerts, and performing vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential threats. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also be responsible for creating Threat Assessments to evaluate risks posed by vulnerabilities and potential threats, collaborating with other team members to develop and execute Security Awareness Training for the enterprise. The position involves gathering information for board reports, maintaining email filtering systems, and participating in team meetings to discuss ongoing cybersecurity initiatives. Additionally, the analyst will assist in reviewing and remediating findings from internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as GLBA and BSA. This role requires a strong ability to analyze, research, and resolve cybersecurity issues while adapting to technological changes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and documentation skills, enabling them to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences. The Cybersecurity Analyst must be a self-starter, capable of managing multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of service delivery. Evening and weekend work may be required due to project deadlines and the critical nature of data security.
