About The Position

Act as a Security Analyst with Cyber-Defense focus for the security operations of the Siemens DI SW systems deployed across multiple cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Responsibilities will be the cybersecurity support for our clients, across all types of platforms, including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS). Serve as a Security Analyst for cloud and cloud security operations reporting into Siemens Digital Industries Software Chief Information Security Officer and the Security Architecture & Engineering team. Partner with colleagues across the business to identify opportunities and risks required to develop and deliver solutions that support business strategies and protect our clients' intellectual property globally.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience performing security investigations, penetration testing, and incident response in the context of large organizations
  • 2+ years of experience in Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) technologies, preferably Splunk
  • In-depth understanding of security threats, hands-on experience detecting and defending from cyber-attacks, and experience using big data analytics and orchestration to address security challenges
  • Ability to develop code with at least one modern language such as Java, Go, TypeScript, Python
  • Currently enrolled as a university student (undergraduate or graduate) in their Sophomore year or above.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Available to work Full-time starting Summer 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
  • Able to work comfortably in a hybrid work environment

Nice To Haves

  • BA or BS degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis, or a related field
  • Prioritized experience in red-teaming and threat detection experience
  • Knowledge of implementation of the Mitre ATT&CK framework and knowledge of host and network telemetry data (e.g., process lists, application logs, netFlow)
  • Knowledge of data science, big data analytics technology stack, analytic development for endpoint and network security, and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Kinesis)
  • Strong sense of ownership combined with collaborative approach to overcoming challenges and influencing organizational change
