Requirements

  • Degree in IT with commensurate experience required
  • Masters and Certifications are preferred but not required
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: Evaluate system risks and fix security flaws
  • Communication: To clearly explain complex security needs to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Attention to detail and documentation: Be able to develop how to documentation for both IT support team hand off and end user understanding
  • Vulnerability Management: To anticipate security risks based on industry forums and develop new protective measures
  • Third-party contractor collaboration: Be able to collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure security from externally managed solutions
  • Adaptability: To keep up with the constantly changing threat landscape

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring computer networks for security breaches
  • Investigating security incidents and determining the cause of the breach
  • Installing and configuring security measures, such as Firewalls and Intrusion detection systems
  • Developing and implementing security policies and procedures
  • Conducting security Audits and risk assessments
  • Providing training to employees on security best practices
  • Reviewing and Automating processes to increase efficiency and reduce MTTD and MTTR
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Providing guidance to other IT professionals on security best practices
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies
