About The Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst I is primarily responsible for protecting OSC Global’s and operating companies' networks and systems. This role will assist the operations team with cybersecurity vulnerability management and compliance activities, such as guiding, researching, configuring, coordinating projects and training when necessary. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Analyst I will attend and lead meetings, develop cybersecurity reports, maintain network stability and continuity, and build relationships with customers, including government agencies and other external contractors.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and fulfill OSC Global’s mission, vision and strategic focus by incorporating knowledge into daily activities.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMC artifacts and RMF compliance.
  • Familiarity with MS Defender, SIEM, SolarWinds, various intrusion detection programs, and other vulnerability management programs
  • Strong knowledge of ISO requirements and cybersecurity related tests and evaluations.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Work well under pressure and independently prioritize workload while working on multiple projects.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and to prepare and submit comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees, and outside business associates; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including thorough knowledge of proper grammar, advanced vocabulary, spelling, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to research, organize, and analyze technical information with particular attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-standard computer software and databases.

  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.
  • Sufficient fine motor skills for the use of computers, calculators with an ability to withstand repetitive keyboarding for extended periods of time.
  • Visual and communications ability adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to travel by vehicle or aircraft, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
  • One or more years of cybersecurity work experience with exposure to IT governance, risk management and compliance practices
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the year
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check
  • Ability to obtain security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Junior-level security certification preferred (e.g., Security+, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Perform SOC operations to include monitoring, reporting and response to malicious activity.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing task and responsibility status.
  • Conduct CMMC assessments of cybersecurity control compliance in accordance with Cyber AB Cybersecurity Strategy.
  • Draft and review CMMC artifacts (e.g., SSP, POA&M, MOU/MOA, topology, network architecture, PPSM, policies and procedures, HW/SW lists) for RMF compliance.
  • Support ISO requirements and documentation.
  • Support Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation (CT&E) or Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) activities for system security engineering and program protection activities.
  • Draft authorizations for artifacts in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Continue education and learning new and evolving technologies.
  • Provide training on cybersecurity best practices, protocol, processes and procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as appropriate and as assigned.
