About The Position

PHS is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Cybersecurity Administrator to help safeguard our systems, data, and technology infrastructure across the organization. This role plays a critical part in protecting our mission by designing, implementing, and administering cybersecurity solutions that align with PHS standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The Cybersecurity Administrator ensures security controls and standards are well documented, consistently applied, and continuously improved to support high system availability and exceptional service to our internal customers. This individual partners closely with IT teams and business units to strengthen our overall cybersecurity posture, maintain compliance, and proactively identify and mitigate risk. This position reports directly to the Vice President of IT and serves as a key contributor in advancing the organization’s security strategy.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field required; Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years (5 years with advanced degree) of progressive experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity
  • At least 4 years (2 years with advanced degree) of direct experience leading or supporting Cybersecurity initiatives
  • Experience developing policies aligned with NIST or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with security incident response, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud security concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive risk management mindset.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, monitor, and maintain organizational cybersecurity systems.
  • Collaborate with PHS IT teams and business units to design, implement, and support cybersecurity solutions aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Provide turnkey cybersecurity solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into secure design specifications.
  • Develop, document, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with NIST guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain system processes and user account security standards.
  • Design and implement technical security policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of user access and system activity.
  • Define cybersecurity patching requirements for hardware and software systems.
  • Prepare and execute implementation plans to maintain compliance with FRSecure FISA assessment requirements.
  • Ensure proper incident reporting and escalation procedures are followed for suspected security events or major issues.
  • Deliver comprehensive troubleshooting and problem resolution for cybersecurity initiatives and incidents.
  • Manage enterprise patch implementation strategies and monitor success across IT systems.
  • Handle security exceptions and incident response coordination.
  • Collect and analyze cybersecurity system performance and capacity data.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership to improve cybersecurity posture and reduce risk.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen enterprise security practices.
  • Provide leadership with guidance and recommendations to advance the organization’s cybersecurity maturity.
  • Independently manage projects, including those with aggressive timelines.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships related to cybersecurity tools and services.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements align with operational needs.
