About The Position
The East Bay Regional Park District is seeking a Cybersecurity Administrator to oversee and implement comprehensive cybersecurity programs across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the protection and confidentiality of data, as well as safeguarding the District's systems and assets from both internal and external threats. The Cybersecurity Administrator will work under general direction, planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of the District's information security initiatives. This includes defining, documenting, and implementing cybersecurity strategies, architectures, and procedures to ensure that all data and computing infrastructure are adequately protected. The position involves collaboration with various departments, outside agencies, and the public to ensure compliance with security measures. The Cybersecurity Administrator will provide complex support to the Chief Information Officer and will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining information security plans, policies, procedures, and standards. This includes creating and maintaining security configurations, coordinating with agencies and vendors, and enforcing standards and procedures to support effective internal controls. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Administrator will lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, conduct regular analyses of security tools and incident response measures, and manage user access protocols. The role also requires routine maintenance and troubleshooting of technical issues, as well as the planning and implementation of new systems and applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity, with relevant certifications and experience in managing information security programs.
