About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Work Force Analyst to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, subject matter expertise, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This position is on-site at Washington Navy Yard with mandatory in-office collaboration days on Tuesday and Wednesday and a third day of your choice as discussed with your manager. This position is responsible supporting all facets of the Strategic Systems Program Command Information Officer’s Cybersecurity Work Force (CWF) program. You will manage projects and tasks that require you to define project objectives, create roadmaps, and establish timelines; identify potential risks, create mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans; monitor performance, and report updates to stakeholders; and assist with CWF strategic planning, implementation, and management. This role ensures CWF management policies and processes comply with DOD, DON, and organizational requirements; establishes and collects metrics to monitor and validate CWF readiness including analysis of cyber workforce data to assess the status of positions identified, filled, and filled with qualified personnel; develops policy and guidelines and provide guidance to management and stakeholders; interprets and applies applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrates into policy; assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies to govern CWF requirements; creates and publishes announcements; and monitors, summarizes, and reports on CWF policies, coding policies, guidance, and memorandums or that have an effect on cyber workforce. You will also monitor and report on CWF personnel qualifications; obtain and maintain knowledge of cyber career field qualification standards; assist with identifying cyber career training opportunities and providing career path guidance while monitoring and reporting on training and training opportunities; and establish and maintain communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and Cybersecurity teams and facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions for you to present to the customer.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
  • Thorough understanding of the Cybersecurity Work Force framework, qualification, work roles, and cybersecurity career path opportunities
  • Knowledge of Risk Management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Ability to analyze DOD, DON, and organizational cyber policy
  • Experience developing policy, plans, and strategy in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational cyber activities
  • Ability to analyze and validate work data, create matrix spreadsheets, and run reports
  • Experience performing document quality checks
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • An active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems and at least four years of work experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Meet the requirements for an IAT Level II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
  • OR, have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND obtain an IAT Level II certification as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
  • Working onsite three days a week at the Washington Navy Yard
  • Two mandatory collaboration days, Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Third day of your choice as discussed with your manager
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer’s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing
