About The Position

The Cyber Warfare Expert provides essential Subject Matter Expertise on current Air Force Cyberspace Defense operations (ACD) and/or Cyber Vulnerability Assessment and Hunt (CVA/H) capabilities and future Integrated Defensive Cyber System (IDCS) requirements, including architecture, deployment, and operation. This role involves conducting research, and evaluation activities, planning, development and instruction of new cyber capabilities. The Cyber Warfare Expert plays a crucial role in informing all phases of the ADDIE methodology, from requirements analysis to evaluation. The Cyber Warfare Expert applies their expertise in analyzing unique training needs. They collaborate closely with the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Team and development team, weapon system managers and engineering teams to provide expert guidance and knowledge to facilitate the design and development of scalable training solutions that align with the client's training objectives. The fulfillment of this position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience with Cyber Protection Teams and DCO missions is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Air Force Cyberspace Defense (ACD) operations and/or Cyber Vulnerability Assessment and Hunt (CVA/H) capabilities and an upstanding of Integrated Defensive Cyber System (IDCS).
  • Graduates of the Air Force Basic Instructor Course, Instructor Methodology Course or comparable instructor methodology are preferred.
  • Must be hold a current Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment with rapidly changing demands.
  • Must have strong writing and communications skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, prioritize task, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented, with exceptional problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
  • On occasion must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Desired experience with PCTE module development and training ranges.
  • Desired experience at MAJCOM, Wing, and/or group level training and/or Stan/Eval.
  • Desired experience in acquisition process and planning for the onboarding of new hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on current Air Force Cyberspace Defense operations to include both enterprise and mobile platforms capabilities and Integrated Defensive Cyber System (IDCS), including architecture, deployment, and operation.
  • Conduct research and evaluation activities.
  • Inform all phases of the ADDIE methodology, from requirements analysis to evaluation.
  • Analyze unique training needs and collaborate with the ISD Team and development team to design and develop scalable training solutions.
  • Define the training environment and other special operating considerations for mission training.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to improve and/or tailor ADDIE process products and deliverables, such as Training Plans, storyboards, course materials, job guides, assessment instruments, and evaluation forms.
  • Plan, research, and analyze requirements for integration into the curriculum where applicable.
  • Create and deliver in-person training or remote training (i.e., VTC, virtual meetings, training videos, computer-based training, etc.) as the situation dictates, and as determined by the client.
  • Identify, analyze and assess training effectiveness.
  • Process paperwork for functional area according to established procedures.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
