The Cyber Systems Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security of cyber systems within the Lexington, KY area, specifically supporting the Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services contract. This role requires collaboration with various teams to design, develop, and validate cybersecurity solutions while conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with security standards. The position demands a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment, focusing on the lifecycle of cyber solutions and the implementation of security processes.

  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate, and verify Cyber solutions across the lifecycle.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions.
  • Coordinate and address Supply Chain risk management concerns.
  • Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions.
  • Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements.
  • Employ cyber security processes, methods, techniques, and tools and assure their consistent application.
  • Implement appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Cyber Security certification and accreditation experience, with previous assignments in evaluating/documenting compliance with associated standards/specifications.
  • Experience with incorporating STIGS, assessing systems for compliance, and establishing security controls, POA&M, and mitigation efforts supporting the development and approval of C&A packages.
  • Ability to obtain DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Sec + CE) within 6 months.
  • Experience with host and network security tools, including eMASS, ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, and Core Impact.
  • Experience with DOD policy and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts and experience.
  • Ability to break down complex issues into understandable components and communicate at the appropriate level for the target audience.
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels both orally and in writing, internally and externally.
