  • Lead technical security assessments of complex computing environments, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with top-tier Information Assurance (IA) standards.
  • Develop, validate, and verify robust system security requirements and designs that safeguard sensitive data across diverse networks and enclaves.
  • Design, implement, and integrate advanced IA and security systems—including multi-enclave environments with varying data classification levels.
  • Embed strong information assurance principles into operational systems to protect mission-critical assets.
  • Collaborate closely with architects and developers to embed security functionality that aligns with Agency policies and enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Support the development and enforcement of secure architectures, trusted external system relationships, and comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous security planning, risk analysis, and certification efforts throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Provide expert review and feedback on certification and accreditation documentation to ensure rigorous compliance.
  • Apply your expertise in system security engineering across areas such as risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, and security testing.
  • Guide security authorization activities in line with DOD system frameworks, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of cybersecurity.
  • Strong experience with system security engineering principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of cross-domain solutions, cryptography, identification & authentication, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with agency Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and NIST RMF.
  • A passion for staying ahead in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • 20+ years of Systems Engineering experience on complex programs and contracts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field, or 5 additional years of SE experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven expertise in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, assessments, and analysis using tools like Tenable Nessus.
  • Skilled in adapting security scans for environments such as AWS and Docker.
  • Proficient in setting up asset inventories, scan zones, repositories, and customized security policies.
  • Strong background in security planning, risk assessment, and risk management.
  • Experience designing systems and networks across multiple enclaves with varying data classification requirements.
  • Ability to recommend system-level security solutions and support trusted relationship implementations.
  • Must comply with DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level 2 requirements.
  • CISSP certification required.
