About The Position

Peraton’s Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a Software Engineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining systems running in a containerized environment.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement
• Significant Java and Python development experience
• Experience with SQL
• Shell Script experience
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux
• TS/SCI with Poly

Nice To Haves

• Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
• Experience with Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
• Familiarity with NiFi
• Experience with cross-domain systems
• Experience with JavaScript

Benefits

• Salary range: $104,000 - $166,000
• Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
