We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Software Engineer with a strong background cyber capability development and integration. In this role, you will be an integrated member of an Agile Cyber Product Team, supporting multiple programs within the IWSS organization. Responsibilities will include the full scope of the systems engineering process with a focus in cyber capability development and integration. Tasking will include requirements development and analysis, capability design documentation, product selection, development, integration, regression testing, and delivery of cyber capability solutions to IWSS program's Linux based tactical systems. You are a experienced Cyber/Systems Engineer with experience working on complex systems integrating and configurating COTS/FOSS software and tools. You bring a proactive mindset, a strong understanding of system engineering and cybersecurity fundamentals, and a passion for mission-driven work. Your ability to collaborate, communicate complex technical ideas, and implement capabilities across multiple different systems makes you a valuable asset to our team. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years related professional experience or related Master's Degree and 3+ years experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux command line and Linux troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Ansible, Python, or PowerShell
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (US citizenship is required).
- The ability to travel up to 10%.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Security+, Linux+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification
- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software systems
- Willingness to learn security engineering concepts as they relate to the Security+ or CISSP certification
- Experience with cybersecurity principles and systems engineering
