Cyber Software Engineer, Mid Key Role: Architect, develop, and operationalize software solutions and systems that perform cyber data analytics at scale in a variety of technology platforms. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.

  • 5+ years of experience developing software solutions in secure or mission-critical environments
  • Experience with a programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or Go
  • Experience building, testing, and deploying software within Linux or Windows environments
  • Experience with secure coding principles, static and dynamic code analysis, and vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, such as Git, and automated build tools
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, application programming interfaces (APIs), and data structures
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity field
  • DoD 8140 baseline Level II Certification, such as Security+, CySA+, or CISSP
  • Experience developing software for cyber defense, cyber tools, or automated detection and enrichment workflows
  • Experience with DevSecOps environments, containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with microservices architectures and high-performance distributed systems
  • Experience integrating security controls, threat intelligence feeds, or cyber telemetry into software capabilities
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, fuzzing, or exploit mitigation techniques
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, identity management, API security, or encryption standards
  • Knowledge of secure architectures, such as NIST 800-53 or DoD RMF, and compliance requirements
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity preferred
  • AWS Developer, Azure Developer, Security+, or CEH Certification
