About The Position

Travelport is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer II to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is crucial in managing and implementing network security solutions as part of our Cyber Security 'Blue' team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and managing the network security infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, web application firewalls (WAFs), intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). The position requires a proactive approach to security management and compliance, ensuring that our network protection solutions meet the necessary security standards.

Requirements

  • At least seven years’ experience implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting network security/firewall solutions.
  • Experience with CheckPoint, Fortinet, ForcePoint, Akamai, and Tipping Point firewall solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting.
  • Experience with firewall policy management solutions.
  • Ability to work on a 24/7/365 available team and be on-call for emergency coverage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of CISCO certifications (CCNP, CCNA).
  • Checkpoint certifications (CCSA, CCSE).
  • Fortinet Certification.
  • Experience with cloud or SaaS based CDN/DNS/WAF technologies such as Akamai and Cloudflare.
  • Experience with PKI and certificates.
  • Experience with network security methodologies for cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Scripting experience with Bash, Perl, Python, and/or PowerShell.
  • Automation scripting experience with Service Now/firewall management APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage the network security infrastructure of IT systems including firewalls, proxies, WAFs, IDS, and IPS.
  • Provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, engineering, implementation, security, and management of enterprise-wide firewall, WAF, proxy, IDS, and IPS platforms.
  • Contribute to strategic planning of active/active architectures, multiple data center integration, cloud network infrastructure, disaster recovery, and resiliency.
  • Collaborate with peers to drive strategy and implementation of security initiatives such as remote access technologies and SDWAN.
  • Provide advanced technical and operational escalation support to Technical Operations staff.
  • Document and disseminate processes and procedures for network security.
  • Provide forensics input to Cyber Incident Response teams.
  • Support audit and compliance activities.
