About The Position

The Security Control Assessor (SCA) is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of security and privacy controls to evaluate their effectiveness. This role involves independent assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls within IT systems, ensuring that they meet required standards and effectively mitigate risks.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance
• 5+ years of experience as a Security Control Assessor
• Experience with risk management processes
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Familiarity with cyber threats and vulnerabilities
• Relevant certifications (CCISO, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, GSLC, GSNA)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of implemented security and privacy controls.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and enhancements.
• Perform independent assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls.
• Determine the resilience and dependability capabilities of security systems.
• Assess the protection needs of information systems, networks, and platforms.
• Apply principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability in assessments.
