We are dedicated to delivering impactful results to meet mission goals through cutting-edge technology and expertise. We are seeking a Cyber Security Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector. The Cyber Security Project Engineer will provide expert-level security guidance to engineering and IT-related activities while overseeing day-to-day Information Assurance (IA), Certification & Accreditation (C&A), and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes. This role is responsible for managing risks through the risk management lifecycle and coordinating all security-related efforts, including the generation and submission of security plans and accreditation packages.

Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree (equivalent experience may be substituted for education).
  • Minimum of 11 years of professional experience in IT security, information assurance, or engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Assurance policies and regulations, particularly regarding the certification and accreditation process.
  • Strong technical skills and analytical ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ISSO/ISSE/ISSM role.
  • Proven experience authoring and maintaining systems security documentation, including documentation of security mitigations.
  • Demonstrated experience with DCID 6/3 or ICD 503 accreditation processes and achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO) for IT systems.
  • Familiarity with generating security documentation to achieve proper accreditation from Directorate security personnel.
  • Experience using XACTA and Greenlight Tool.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of the Customer’s PMF process, IT development lifecycle, and organization-specific security requirements.
  • Familiarity with FISMA, DCID 6/3, and ICD 503 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level security support for engineering and technical IT activities within the organization.
  • Oversee daily Information Assurance, Certification & Accreditation, and Assessment & Authorization activities.
  • Manage the processing of organizational efforts through the risk management lifecycle, tracking risks, accreditation status, and reporting across project teams.
  • Generate security plans and act as a security advocate for system/architecture changes.
  • Assemble and submit C&A packages to Principal Accreditation Authority/Designated Accreditation Authority.
  • Coordinate C&A actions and system testing with security personnel.
  • Maintain a document repository for all C&A project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Information Assurance policies and regulations.
