Compensation for this position ranges from $56.00 - $72.00 per hour and is based on geographical location, qualifications, and experience. The Security Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader of the organization’s cybersecurity program, guiding the protection of systems, infrastructure, and sensitive data. This role oversees the security team and is responsible for building a proactive, resilient security posture that safeguards the organization from evolving threats while ensuring regulatory compliance. In this position, the Security Manager directs enterprise-wide threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and overall security strategy. They continuously assess risks to systems and data, analyze emerging threats, and lead efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities before they impact operations. When incidents occur, they spearhead detection and response efforts, manage investigations, and coordinate remediation to minimize disruption and strengthen defenses against future events. Beyond daily operations, the Security Manager develops, documents, and enforces security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. They evaluate, implement, and maintain critical security technologies—including firewalls, encryption, and monitoring tools—ensuring the organization’s infrastructure remains secure and up to date. A key aspect of the role is leadership and collaboration. The Security Manager mentors and guides security and system engineers, fostering professional growth and accountability within the team. They also work closely with IT and business units to embed security best practices across the organization, promoting a culture of shared responsibility for protecting organizational assets.
