Bio-Techne is seeking outstanding undergraduates, recent graduates and/or graduate students in Information Technology/Cybersecurity for 2025 summer internships focused on helping to support and innovate Bio-Techne's Cybersecurity environment. We are looking for academically accomplished, highly motivated, and energetic individuals with a strong interest in Cybersecurity.

  • Monitor SIEM Alerts/Dashboards
  • Respond to AntiVirus EDR escalations
  • Assist weak password audits
  • Patch high-risk vulnerabilities affecting individual Windows endpoints
  • Upgrade unsupported OS
  • Build training content for Security Awareness Training
  • Conduct phishing simulations
  • Ensure employee compliance with completing training
  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of information security concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
  • Basic scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with security tools (vulnerability scanners, SIEM)
  • Relevant coursework in cybersecurity topics
