Founded in 2018, Amynta Group has quickly established itself as a significant player in the insurance industry, managing over $3.5 billion in premiums and employing around 2,000 associates across North America, Europe and Australia. 2026 SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM This summer (June 1 – August 10, 2026), Amynta’s IT leadership team is excited to launch a 10-week IT Internship Program for top rising Seniors. It will offer hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, solving Amynta Group challenges and opportunities, and dedicated mentorship and training from industry professionals. Our goal is to cultivate an environment in which everyone feels welcomed and valued; is encouraged to voice opinions, ideas and perspectives; and provides opportunities for professional and personal growth. ROLE SUMMARY Under the guidance of Cybersecurity team leaders, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to both Security Operations and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). The role provides practical experience in how a global enterprise protects its data, applications, network, and identities, and offers insight into how the company manages cyber risk and meets regulatory requirements. The intern will contribute to real-world security initiatives while learning industry standards, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • A rising Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, risk management, and information security within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring computer networks and systems in a Microsoft Azure environment for threats and security breaches.
  • Understand and support the usage of existing security software and tools within cloud environments, and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and optimize their use.
  • Assist with vulnerability management activities, including identifying, documenting, and tracking vulnerabilities in systems and application.
  • Assist with remediation efforts by providing guidance or troubleshooting support as needed
  • Help analyze systems for potential vulnerabilities and document findings, referencing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Participate in the development and documentation of security best practices and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing reports on security incidents and compliance activities, with attention to insurance and financial industry regulations (e.g., GLBA, PCI DSS, state privacy laws).
  • Support the review and maintenance of security policies and procedures, with a focus on insurance industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in user training and awareness activities to promote cybersecurity best practices.
  • Attend meetings with IT and business teams to observe and contribute to cybersecurity initiatives relevant to insurance operations.
  • Engage in professional development and training activities as assigned, including exposure to insurance-specific cybersecurity risks and terminology.
