About The Position

Atlas Energy Solutions, headquartered in Austin, TX, is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join our security team. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, compliance, and vulnerability management. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals while developing technical skills in security frameworks, policy updates, and threat management. The position is based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, security tools, and risk mitigation strategies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to document and present findings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and updating cybersecurity documentation related to frameworks, internal/external audits, and compliance reports.
• Help ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
• Review existing cybersecurity policies and recommend necessary updates to managers.
• Perform security updates on PCs and assist with vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Analyze and fine-tune alerts for various cybersecurity tools to enhance efficiency and reduce false positives.
