About The Position

Paradigm is looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support the development, testing, and enhancement of our client's proprietary security solutions built in-house. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with engineering teams to design and build custom hardware appliances, applying your cybersecurity expertise where hardware meets software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of cybersecurity experience, ideally in embedded systems or application security
Expertise with static/dynamic code analysis, fuzzing, reverse engineering, and vulnerability scanning tools
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, and MITRE ATT&CK
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with secure boot, TPM, HSM, or board-level security implementations
Knowledge of protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and secure firmware update mechanisms
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers)
Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or CISSP are a plus

Responsibilities

Partner with hardware and software teams to evaluate security risks in open source architectures and custom components
Provide actionable guidance to developers to strengthen platform security from development through production
Utilize and maintain open-source intrusion detection systems (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) tools to safeguard systems
Monitor, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities across our environment and product portfolio
Develop scripts using Python and Bash to support security operations and automation
