About The Position

Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to provide information assurance support at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in IT and systems support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Must be Security+ CE certified.
  • Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Information Assurance/Cyber Security Directives and Instructions.
  • Knowledge of cyber security including the RMF process and Cyber Defense.
  • Experience with SharePoint; Windows Desktop Operating Systems; Windows Server Operating Systems; Active Directory; and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow.
  • Proficient with Computer and Server Hardware.
  • Able to capture and report metrics.
  • Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Must have strong team partnership and customer service skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong communication skills.
  • Mist be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information assurance oversight, guidance and support to the customer community in accordance with Federal, Department of Defense, and U.S. Air Force Information Assurance programs.
  • Ensure applicable systems/networks/computing environments meet security requirements and that all security risks for those environments are properly mitigated.
  • Provide technical and programmatic information assurance/cyber security services in support of system-level certification and accreditation processes.
  • Provide support in Network Boundary Proxy and Firewall exceptions.
  • Track and manage all open security-related problem reports and fixes.
  • Provide necessary support for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) requirements as well as re-accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure configuration management for systems/networks/computing systems and hardware is documented and maintained.
  • Review all Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerts, bulletins and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) for applicable implementation and remediation in the customer’s network/computing environment(s).
  • Provide support to maintain a comprehensive network security policy.
  • Create, review and update standard operating procedures and AF Checklists.
  • Review FFRDC System Security Plans.
  • Assist with TEMPEST certification for Classified Processing Areas.
