Intrepid, an SPA Company, has an immediate need for a Mid to Senior-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to support PEO Aviation in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will work closely with PEO Aviation’s Cyber Team to help ensure the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the command’s data and systems. The role involves conducting compliance and auditing activities in accordance with DoD and Army standards across all enterprise systems and networks, performing comprehensive risk assessments, security test evaluations, and compliance reviews of computer security plans, and assisting in the development, refinement, and implementation of organizational security policies and procedures. The position also requires analyzing the sensitivity of information and conducting vulnerability assessments based on defined data flows and data classifications. The successful candidate will play a critical part in strengthening cybersecurity posture and safeguarding mission-critical information in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, OR an associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Must meet DoDI 8140 Certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • In-depth ability to interpret and apply DoD and Army level cybersecurity instructions and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to various audiences
  • Solid understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security principles
  • A proactive and curious mindset with a commitment to continuous learning

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CEH
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server operating systems
  • Familiarity with the configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers
  • Familiarity with Vulnerability Scanners, SIEM, and Network Analysis Tools

Responsibilities

  • Actively monitoring security dashboards, including SIEM and EDR tools, and managing alert queues to identify suspicious activity.
  • Performing regular analysis of network traffic and system logs to detect anomalies and potential threats
  • Investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents through initial triage, containment, and threat eradication
  • Participating in post-incident analysis to recommend technical or procedural improvements that reduce the risk of recurrence
  • Analyzing cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
