About The Position

The Cyber Security Analyst, Principal role at ManTech involves serving as a technical expert in cybersecurity, managing security incidents, and coordinating enterprise incident response efforts. This position requires interaction with senior external personnel and entails analyzing network traffic to identify potential threats, documenting incidents, and developing response procedures. The role is critical in ensuring the security of the organization's data and infrastructure against cyber threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional cyber experience in lieu of degree.
  • 7+ years of cyber experience.
  • Experience working in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment.
  • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment.
  • IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security).
  • CSSP-IR certification (GCIH, CSIH, or CEH) required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Knowledge of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as the technical expert in cybersecurity matters.
  • Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters.
  • Directly manage security incidents from inception to final reporting.
  • Coordinate enterprise incident response efforts in response to cyber security incidents.
  • Provide detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks and anomalous activities.
  • Characterize and analyze network traffic and system data to identify potential threats.
  • Perform security event and incident correlation using information from various sources.
  • Analyze and assess damage to data/infrastructure from cyber incidents.
  • Write and publish cyber incident reports detailing findings and recommendations.
  • Develop and document incident response guidance, processes, and procedures.
