About The Position

Juvare helps our clients prepare, connect, and respond to protect people, property, and brands. Location: Atlanta – You will work 40 hours per week during the Summer from May 18th - July 24th. Job Summary: As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you will work under the mentorship of Juvare’s Information Security Manager and Cybersecurity Specialist to analyze, interpret, and address the risks faced by global organizations in the modern security landscape. You will gain experience with industry tools, nominal SOC operations, and the policy frameworks required to ensure a secure environment for identities and devices.

Requirements

  • Currently a Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
  • A passion for Cybersecurity and/or Governance, Risk and Compliance and willingness to dive into a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
  • A strong analytical mindset and ability to grasp high-level concepts that branch across several interconnected systems.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with an aptitude to look beyond , ask questions, and conduct independent research.
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Responsibilities

  • Assess threat intelligence data from various sources and interpret potential risk factors within the context of your environment.
  • Investigate and respond to a wide range of endpoint and identity detections & alerts.
  • Analyze vulnerability assessment results and implement patch strategies to mitigate new and existing CVE’s & Attack Vectors.
  • Perform gap analysis on protection frameworks to proactively strengthen access policies.
  • Recommend new and innovative ways to respond to emerging threats in your environment.
  • Assist with the in depth review and rewrite of select Information Security policies/standards and integrating some into a single document.
  • Develop a searchable index by topic , keyword, or title for policies and standards , and deploy the Information Security policies and standards on Confluence in a way that will exploit the intelligent search tool.
  • Assist the review and updating of KB4 Awareness Trainings and Phishing tests
  • Support the activities of the InfoSec Analyst, and Cybersecurity Specialist as assigned from time to time.
