How You’ll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own The Cyber Security Analyst Associate (Intern) will be trusted to work on innovative projects that touch on areas such as software development, data infrastructure, cyber security, networking, and IT support. They will help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems across GDIT and client organizations. The ideal intern will have knowledge of computer languages and their applications to enable a system to perform specific functions. They’ll also have an interest in understanding the principles, methods, and tools for evaluating information systems security features against a set of specified security requirements. They will work with analysts to understand business processes and promoting data integrity. They will have the opportunity to develop consulting skills, gather and research data, develop analyses, and contribute to the creation of deliverables, ensuring they a deep and rewarding exposure to all facets of cyber security and engineering at the conclusion of the program. The Must-Haves Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in cyber security, cyber engineering, or a related field from a United States-based college or university. Understanding of cyber security tools such as Splunk, Qualys, et al. What You’ll Need to Deliver Your Best Every Day Interest in the design, development, and maintenance of cyber defenses Interest in dashboards, modeling, and reporting for cyber environments Interest in incident, problem, and change management processes Interest in detecting and preventing cyber security vulnerabilities Interest in creating, improving, and supporting cyber security documentation Interest in working with varied stakeholders to implement and improve required cyber security postures Interest or experience in monitoring and reporting performance against plans Problem-solving and analytical skills Communication and presentation skills GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
