About The Position

The Cyber Risk Partner at Newell Brands serves as a crucial link between various business units and the core Information Security organization. This role involves daily interactions with business leaders to understand their projects and needs, providing technical guidance on AI systems, and ensuring that information security measures align with business objectives. The Cyber Risk Partner is responsible for developing relationships, delivering customized metrics on security performance, and supporting various information security capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, information management systems, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in cyber security, preferably in a Fortune 500 global environment or large complex organization.
  • High energy and proactive in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Extremely well organized with strong project management skills.
  • Capable of overseeing multiple projects and service requests across multiple teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of security concepts and translate those to the needs of the business.
  • Strong negotiation skills and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of finance, marketing, operations, strategy, and human resources.
  • Exemplary leadership skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of Gen AI systems and use cases preferred.
  • Appropriate security certifications (i.e., CISSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships and maintain consistent interactions with leadership and team members from assigned lines of business.
  • Understand current and forward-looking initiatives that involve information technology components.
  • Provide guidance and technical information regarding Gen AI systems and use cases to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Identify information security needs to support projects and coordinate with information security teams for service delivery.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders on the effectiveness of the information security program.
  • Provide customized metrics related to information security performance to the assigned area.
  • Support information security capabilities including security awareness, policy, identity and access management, security operations, risk management, vendor risk assessments, user access reviews, compliance, and vulnerability management.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Cyber Security issues and direct requests to the appropriate information security team.
