About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Risk Analyst Intern to support security administration, documentation development, data analytics, and event monitoring. The intern will assist in performing security scans, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, while also contributing to the development of system security documentation.

Requirements

• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and presentations.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program as a junior or senior in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Technical understanding of security initiatives, monitoring, reporting, and compliance with security regulations and policies.
• Demonstrated potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• IT or security certifications in Linux, Windows, network, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows Server Operating System, or networking.
• Experience with IT hardware & software support and troubleshooting.
• Experience with operating IT security tools.
• Basic data analytics skills for data search and parsing.

Responsibilities

• Perform security scans and analyze scan results, documenting findings according to NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
• Support information assurance tasks by reviewing audit trail logs and scans, ensuring systems comply with security policies and procedures.
• Document and execute plans for security assessments and testing tasks in support of project requirements.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of system security documentation and the implementation of security procedures.
