About The Position

The Cyber Research Intern position at RTX Corporation offers an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields to engage in hands-on research and development in cybersecurity. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals to defend and pen-test computer systems, reverse engineer software, and enhance their technical and presentation skills in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during summer 2025.
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with C/C++ or Python.
• Experience with assembly language (any of x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.).
• Experience with reverse engineering using tools such as IDA/Ghidra/BinaryNinja.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals (cryptography, confidentiality/integrity/availability, etc.).
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, BGP, etc.).

Responsibilities
