About The Position

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a highly qualified Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to support the Air National Guard (ANG) 132nd Cyber Range. The ISSM is responsible for the overall security posture of designated information systems, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives, Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, and organizational policies. The ISSM plays a critical role in protecting sensitive systems and data, enabling mission readiness, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. By leading accreditation efforts, managing vulnerabilities, and overseeing compliance programs, the ISSM directly supports the Air Force's cyber mission and strengthens national defense capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master's degree in a related field with 0 years of experience, OR
  • High School Diploma/equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Hands‑on experience with:
  • STIG compliance and remediation
  • ACAS/Nessus vulnerability management tools
  • Incident response procedures and vulnerability remediation
  • Configuration management and continuous monitoring practices
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Current or Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+).

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD 8570 IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CAP, CISSP, CISM).
  • Experience supporting Air Force or DoD cybersecurity programs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise‑level continuous monitoring, incident response, and configuration management.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to brief leadership and coordinate across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to pivot under pressure, manage workload effectively, and maintain professionalism in high‑stakes environments.
  • Prior experience working in or supporting operations within a SCIF environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, execution, and maintenance of accreditation packages for systems/networks.
  • Build and maintain equipment/media control policies and tracking solutions; conduct checks on technology entering/exiting the SCIF.
  • Manage vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., ACAS), conduct scans, and resolve findings.
  • Perform STIG compliance scans, analyze results, and remediate/deconflict findings.
  • Report vulnerability and compliance results to external authorities to meet accreditation requirements.
  • Draft and coordinate Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA).
  • Oversee programs supporting accreditation, including:
  • Media control
  • Incident response
  • Continuous monitoring
  • Configuration control
  • Disaster recovery & continuity of operations
  • Event auditing
  • End‑user security training
