About The Position

The Cyber Intelligence Analyst position with the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio Homeland Security involves generating and disseminating time-sensitive and emerging cyber threat and trend information and intelligence to various homeland security partners, including law enforcement agencies and public/private sector entities. Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing information and data from public and private sources, as well as field organizations and agencies. The analyst is also tasked with monitoring and evaluating the accuracy and reliability of information and its sources, advising and assisting agencies with priority intelligence requirements, target, and problem areas, and recognizing trends related to terrorist, emergency management, or criminal operations.

Requirements

36 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.
Completion of undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field; AND 12 mos. exp. conducting research & writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques.

Responsibilities

Generate & disseminate time-sensitive & emerging cyber threat/trend information &/or intelligence to all homeland security partners (i.e., law enforcement agencies, public/private sector partners, etc.)
Review & analyze information/data from public & private sources, field organizations &/or agencies
Monitor & evaluate the accuracy & reliability of information & sources
