About The Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst will support the protection and monitoring of IPX Power’s information technology and operational technology environments, including systems supporting utility-scale solar and battery storage assets. This role will work closely with internal engineering, IT, and operations teams to help identify potential security risks, monitor systems for suspicious activity, and support the implementation of cybersecurity best practices across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional who wants exposure to both corporate IT systems and critical infrastructure environments supporting renewable energy operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • 0–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or information security roles
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Familiarity with security monitoring tools, endpoint protection, and network security concepts
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, firewalls, and access controls
  • Experience with operating systems such as Windows or Linux in an enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Interest in protecting critical infrastructure and renewable energy systems

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and system activity across corporate and operational technology environments to identify potential threats
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments, security scans, and remediation efforts across IT and operational systems
  • Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools such as endpoint protection, monitoring systems, and access controls
  • Investigate potential security incidents and assist with incident response activities
  • Work with IT, engineering, and operations teams to help implement cybersecurity best practices and security controls
  • Assist with monitoring and managing user access controls, permissions, and identity management systems
  • Support development and documentation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Assist with security assessments of new technologies, software, and vendors
  • Support compliance efforts related to cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards
  • Help track cybersecurity metrics and maintain documentation related to security posture and risk management
