About The Position

The Cyber AI Intern position at Leidos focuses on applying cybersecurity and AI/ML techniques to real-world problems. Requirements

• Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
• Must be enrolled in Bachelor's Degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and have completed at least 1 year of curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles
• Hands-on experience with building machine learning models and tuning
• Concepts and hands-on experience with programming languages like Python and their AI/ML libraries
• Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical materials, including research papers, documentation, and reports
• Proven record of innovative solutions to science and engineering problems (commensurate with education level)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and frameworks
• Experience with LLM and RAG
• Strong in Python or similar programming language
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and deployment of machine learning models for vulnerability detection and predictive analytics.
• Review and summarize academic papers, industry reports, and technical publications related to cybersecurity.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and patterns for potential areas of interest.
• Research and evaluate AI techniques relevant to cybersecurity applications.
• Develop research reports, whitepapers, and presentations that outline findings and actionable insights.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions to propose novel research ideas and approaches.
• Support the team in documenting methodologies, results, and recommendations.
