About The Position

The CWMD-CBRN Senior Instructor is responsible for the development, delivery, sustainment, and assessment of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) and Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) training under the CSCEP IDIQ. This position serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in partner nation capacity-building, counter-proliferation, and consequence management operations. The Senior Instructor ensures that training materials, operational exercises, and sustainment packages align with CSCEP’s MEL-driven capability development objectives and are culturally and operationally tailored to diverse partner nation environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (may substitute significant operational experience)
  • 8+ years of operational experience in a military or Law Enforcement position technical role (CBRN, EOD, SOF, CWMD, or national-level response units)
  • 5+ years of formal instructor experience in military, interagency, or international training environments
  • Completion of a recognized U.S. CBRN, EOD, or CWMD technical school (e.g., U.S. Army CBRN School, Naval School EOD, or related certification programs)
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior logistics experience supporting DTRA or related USG programs
  • Prior experience supporting DTRA, SOCOM, or other CWMD-focused organizations in a training or advisory capacity
  • Prior overseas deployment experience delivering training to partner nations under Theater Security Cooperation frameworks
  • Instructor certifications such as: Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Master Trainer designation, or foreign language capability
  • Familiarity with NATO CBRN defense doctrine or international CWMD response framework

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering Training Support Packages (TSPs) and Programs of Instruction (PoIs) aligned with MIL-HDBK-29612 standards
  • Leading classroom instruction, scenario-based field exercises (FTXs), sustainment training modules, and mobile training team (MTT) missions
  • Adapting curriculum content to partner nation operational readiness levels, language, and cultural contexts
  • Leading train-the-trainer (TTT) pipelines and certifying partner nation instructors for future sustainment
  • Preparing after-action reports (AARs), evaluation metrics, and improvement plans linked to MEL outputs and capability milestones
  • Providing SME input to curriculum development teams, translation validation, and training assessment activities
  • Supporting surge deployments to meet evolving operational needs
