About The Position

As a systems engineer for CWL, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the system engineering and functional design of the system under development, addressing topics such as payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity. As a member of the system engineering team, the candidate will help ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate, delivered as required to support customer review and approval, to support system development and test.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time from hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably defense related.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with computer system architectures, cybersecurity, Linux or embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the system engineering and functional design of the system under development.
• Address topics such as payload integration, weapon launch interlocks, weapon simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity.
• Ensure functional and technical specifications and standards are complete and accurate.
• Deliver specifications and standards as required to support customer review and approval.
• Support system development and testing.
