Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials.
- Utilize a company-provided vehicle to travel to various job sites within the area.
- Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly and maintained as required.
- Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications.
- Travel to various job sites to perform sampling and testing on construction materials.
- Return samples to the office for testing.
- Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion.
- Operate a motor vehicle and maintain the company vehicle.
- Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor about job status and locations.
- Prepare testing reports using Field Data Collection (FDC) software.
- Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds repeatedly with or without accommodations.
- Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents and writing routine reports.
- Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop and learn Field Data Collection (FDC).
- Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certifications in field testing.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)/ Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 2 Certification.
- ICC Bolting certification.
- Construction and/or engineering experience.
